Deliver your best in the moment that really matters
Have you ever wondered what’s the point of working your butt off for months and years when it all comes down to just the performance of one game.
My point is when it comes down to your greatest performance, assuming you did everything right with your physical body. Assuming by timing alone you are the fastest person alive. If you don’t believe that you are the fastest, somehow your actions will ultimately prove you right.
The moment you step into the competition ground, all your trainings, time and effort grinding comes down to nothing if you let yourself get carried away by self-doubt and lose belief in yourself.
Bad news is you can never play the perfect game and become a perfect person. You can never be Michael Jordan or even play like him. But good news is you can believe you will play the perfect game, you can believe you can become whoever you want to become.
Michael Jordan wouldn’t be who you witness him to be if he didn’t believe he can play like Magic Johnson. It’s not like he wanted to be like Magic Johnson, they are two different people, they can never be like each other. But they can believe they can play like each other. The believe is in your head.
You may have heard of the common advise of acknowledging all the past wins that you have and used them as a way to boost your confidence to develop more belief in yourself. But some of you might say, “but I don’t have any wins in the past”, or “I’m never good in anything”. I believe this is crap, surely you have something done right before in your life. But for the sake of those in perfect self-doubt of themselves, I shall address how to build your self-belief without having to make use of your past wins.
