Hi, I’m Marilyn Wo and this is StarPlayer Academy episode 123.
Ray Lewis said: “Wins and losses come a dime a dozen. But effort? Nobody can judge that. Because effort is between you and you.”
Effort is not something to be shown to people to prove to them you are working.
Nobody gives a damn in what you do big or small, with an exception.
And the exception is when you do everything with so much heart that it is not only inspiring but it’s so moving that others are motivated to do what you are doing.
That is part of your wins. To me, that’s being a champion. You are a champion when you take pride in a challenge larger than you, strive to play the best game and inspire the world to change and take interest in what you do without saying a word.
To me, that should be an athlete’s mission, a cause to move people to take action no matter how hard or painful the process might be, because your effort is an example that it’s possible.
Understand right now that you don’t have to say anything or be a world champion to move mountains.
Understand what it takes and take it with you all the way.
All you need to do is to do your best every other day. Do it as part of your life, do it because you will feel lost without it. Do it until it’s a habit.
Now remember that you don’t have to say anything to anyone or to prove to them you are the worthy one.
What is more important? Your enjoyment in what you do or what they say about you?
Work genuinely with your heart and soul because you believe in putting the work, your actions will show and the others will follow.
