“We may get knocked down on the outside, but the key to living in victory is to learn how to get up on the inside.” – Joel Osteen
During my time as an athlete, the only person who was able to motivate me was myself, the only person who was able to bring me down was also myself.
It took quite awhile for me to figure this out, because there were external distractions and it was way easier to take the path of least resistance by putting blame on my coaches, teammates or opponents. Never did I realise my greatest opponent is within.
It was not until I started to develop this love for reading books. I started reading voraciously and came across this book known as Body Mind Mastery by Dan Millman. It made me understand a lot more on how I can only control everything within myself, nothing else can stop me from going for what I want. It may or may not work the same way for you but I hope my show today can give you the nuggets you need to move forward.
