When I’m focused, there is not a single thing, person, anything that can stand in my way of my doing something. There is not. If I want something bad enough, I feel I’m gonna get there. – Michael Phelps

Hi, I’m Marilyn Wo and this is StarPlayer Academy episode 119.
Michael Phelps said: “When I’m focused, there is not a single thing, person, anything that can stand in my way of my doing something. There is not. If I want something bad enough, I feel I’m gonna get there.”
How about you?
What is it that you want out of all the training you are doing now?
Why put off all the good food, fun and partying to drill yourself, sweat and allow yourself to go through physical pain and stress?
I know, it’s really easy to become resigned and let yourself sink in the couch and grab those chips and “one more drink”, “one more drug”, “one more puff”.
But let there be a first step to get a hold of yourself, to control what you want to do with your life rather than to leave your body to temptations that bring you to immediate satisfaction but only for you to realise later that it’s meaningless.
There are days you don’t feel like putting yourself out there, maybe suddenly life sucks, maybe your partner isn’t treating you too nice.
Seriously, those are issues tricking your mind to take the path of least resistance, to take the easy way out and worst yet, to lead you to the path of giving up.
Don’t be half-hearted in your pursuit of your cause. At least stay where you are and push yourself to do greater than what you can do yesterday in order to make a difference.
You only have yourself to blame as well as to achieve all that you need.
Stick with it.
