It’s about whether you are moving forward at all. You can get knocked down, you have to crawl, glide or nudge, inch by inch, you will get there as long as you move.
Listen to the Podcast
Somewhere along the way you changed, you stopped being YOU.
You let people find a reason to say it in your face that you are not good enough.
That you succumb to pressure.
That you are no longer as good as before.
Fail Forward
Then when things got tough, you start to point your finger at something else.
No you didn’t do that publicly.
You did that within yourself.
Deep down you looked for something to blame.
The coach isn’t good enough, your teammates aren’t helping, the government isn’t giving much support.
Let me tell you that the world ain’t as pink as a rose all day with sunshine and rainbows.
Sometimes you get a bit of rain, sometimes a storm of disasters.
The world that you are in can be so mean and nasty, nobody isn’t giving a damn about you.
I don’t care how strong you are, how fast or how good you are at what you do.
The world will keep on hitting you till you bend and make you kneel upon your knees like you’ve never been any weaker.
It will try to keep you on the ground and stick your face into the mud.
The pouring rain does not make things better.
But no matter how tough you are, no matter how much talent you have inside of you, it’s not about being taller than others nor about being hit to the ground by others.
It’s about whether you are moving forward at all.
You can get knocked down, you have to crawl, glide or nudge, inch by inch, you will get there as long as you move.
You have to be committed to move even if you look bad, ugly or when people see you struggling to get back up.
As long as you stop moving forward, you will never be better than you were before.
