Good day athletes, I’m Marilyn Wo and this is StarPlayer Academy. You are listening to PepTalk weekend, episode 100.
Every time you step foot onto the playing field, you get to be who you really are.
Every moment you step foot onto the playing field, you are presented with the greatest opportunity to live the greatest moment of your life.
I know you are afraid because of people who didn’t believe in you. They meant to show concern, but they don’t care as much as you do.
Don’t be trapped by how others look at what you can do. What is the worst that can happen if you do your best? What’s the worst that can happen if you put in all you’ve got today? What’s the worst that can happen if you make it harder for them?
If you want to play nice, they will make it harder for you.
Let me put it this way, if you think playing with them is tough, today, we will present them the greatest challenge they’ve ever received. Today we attack like we are starving, when we charge, we put our hearts and minds to go into overdrive. We are hungry to test them, to let them return their best shot, because that brings out the best in us.
I know that as you sit here anticipating for the time to come, pressure is mounting, uncertainties looming. You’re afraid of the unexpected, you are afraid that you will screw up, you are afraid that if you made a mistake, the whole world will crash and burn and you will end up suffering for the rest of your life.

You are here not to feel afraid, you are here to enjoy the moments of not knowing what comes next, but creating something you belief out of nothing.
You are here to live the moment.
You’ve survived the worst in trainings and many months of roughing out the dirt, what could be worse than that?
Your reward today is none other than the opportunity to step out and play.
Let me ask you again, what are you so afraid of?
You say you are afraid, well they are as scared as you are, or even more so than you.
While they are afraid that they can’t be the stars of the show today, right now let me tell you, you are already shining even before stepping foot on the playing field.
Even before today, you’ve already shown yourself and us that you’ve what it takes to step out there. You’ve earned this opportunity all these time and today is no different.
Today is the day meant for you to play to your heart’s content.
Today you’ll give your all.
Today, you tell yourself to never hold back.
