Watch your thoughts, for they become words; watch your words, for they become actions; watch your actions, for they become habits; watch your habits, for they become character; watch your character, for it becomes your destiny. – Lao Tzu
Hi, good day to you guys, this is Marilyn Wo and this StarPlayer Academy. You are listening to PepTalk weekend, episode 86.
Lao Tzu said: “Watch your thoughts, for they become words; watch your words, for they become actions; watch your actions, for they become habits; watch your habits, for they become character; watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”
I know you are in pain, I know the pain make it less fun.
You can barely run and barely make a good pass.
Whatever you do, although your pain set you a limit, it doesn’t go away.
What you need to do now is to make do with what you have.
Injuries is part of your life.
You are a sports person, you are a player, an athlete, a great person, you are going to endure your pain as long as it will take for you to finish your race and your game.
Fighting past this pain is the only way for you now.
You have to live with it because it’s not going to help you if you go down with that pain.
It’s a struggle I know.
It’s making it worse, I know.
But when will you get the time to push yourself past your limits but now?
It will be too easy if you can breeze through this journey without any challenge.
This is a test that comes for a reason.
Forgive your injury, forgive the pain.
Why focus on it when it does not give you a sense of fulfilment until you overcome it and finish your race?
Focus on not being satisfied, focus on your vision to finish.
Focusing on your pain doesn’t make it go away.
It’s there to stay and it’s up to you to bear with it and do your thing.
Remember, it’s better to be a lion than a lamb.
Today, you are the lion.
Go chase that lamb now.
