“All organizations start with WHY, but only the great ones keep their WHY clear year after year” – Simon Sinek
Since for the whole of this week I have been sharing with you topics revolving round bouncing back from adversity and overcoming tough times, today, let’s talk about you wanting to win a game.
I encourage you to always ask yourself WHY at least 3 times when you have to do something or to find out the root cause of a problem.
So say you have to win the game today, ask yourself Why 3 times.
This technique was formally developed by Sakichi Toyoda and was used within the Toyota Motor Corporation during the evolution of its manufacturing methodologies who uses the 5 whys to get to the root cause of all problems.
I also learned from Ricardo Semler of Semco who practices “three whys” and broadens the practice to cover goal setting and decision making.
