Hi, I’m Marilyn Wo and this is StarPlayer Academy episode 103.

PTOMS103: Embrace Fear - Do One Thing That Scares You Today
You say you are shaking badly, you say you are scared.

Now what are you afraid of?

Tell me, are you afraid that you will lose? Are you afraid that you will run out of time? Are you afraid that things don’t work out the way they should be?

Let me tell you some bad news, you are so right about what you are afraid of, because if it’s so easy, then there’s no fear. Why would you feel so scared if you already know it’s easy?

Truth is, you do not know what’s going to happen, you don’t know where you will end up a few minutes from now. You might bust them out of the game in less than an hour, or they might bust you out, nobody can tell you who will get there first.

But if you already know, then why are you here today?

Why don’t I just give you a medal and say, go home now?

Medals don’t mean a thing if you aren’t fighting your heart out.

Medals are extra material hanging from your neck as a material reward. Positions are just numbers to tell you to come back one more day to try again.

I’m not telling you not to win, I’m telling you to embrace your fear, it’s there for a reason. Without it, there’s no you, with it comes a new hero.

What you need to do is to find the meaning in what you do.

Be quick to find what’s meaningful to you and you will take this fear in your hands and walk out there strong today.
