Hi, I’m Marilyn Wo and this is StarPlayer Academy episode 104.

Demand the Most Out of What You Can Do and Do More for Yourself

I used to play like you, I used to enjoy my game like a little kid.
Nothing can tear me down because they didn’t mean a thing.

Then things started to get serious, when I told myself to chase for every victory, when every win or loss mean something to me.
I got sensitive.

When people commented on my mistakes, I took them to heart and felt miserable because I didn’t do anything to make them go wow.

I worked hard everyday so that one day people will not comment on my mistakes but my hard work instead.

Guess what? Nobody did.

You see athletes, nobody will appreciate what you have done until you’ve given them something they want.

Everyone yearns for recognition, I’m sure it’s the same for you too.

Janis Joplin said: “Don’t compromise yourself. You are all you’ve got.”

Don’t depend on someone to say that you are the greatest and the best among the rest.

Ask yourself why do they have to do that?
If someone comes up to you to say that, take it as a bonus, it’s nice to hear and move on.

Keep going until your work is done.

You give others encouragement but never wait for one yourself.
If you wait, you may stop, if you live with anticipation to produce, you will progress.

So athletes, today I want you to think of only one thing, that is yourself, demand the most out of what you can do and do more for yourself and whatever is done will bring you to where you want to go.
